Bungie does not know how to make an RPG. They are stuck in Halo world still. The most important thing to them is PvP and balance. Think about it we use space magic yet we all have pretty much the same stuff: Melee abilities, grenades, class ability, and super. They are just different variants of the same thing, really. Instead of melee, hunters should have a backstab ability on a 1-2 minute cooldown that one-shots orange bars and below and does massive damage and debuffs yellow bars. Instead of grenades, they should have traps that trigger when the enemy come within proximity of them. Dodge should not have a cooldown and instead their class ability should be stealth which increases the damage of backstab and doubles precision damage from precision weapons. Put that on a 1 minute cooldown. Their supers can still be supers but give us tiers. Tier 1 does less damage but is available more often, Tier 2 does moderate damage, but is available less often and tier 3 is Supers as they currently are.

  • So rather than a melee ability... You want an ability that makes your melee better?..... Sounds like a melee ability 👀

  • What I am saying is that this is space magic and yet it is so narrow in its scope. I was just shooting form the hip with the above suggestions. Each class has the potential to fill 3 classic archetypes. The Hunter can be an Assassin, a Ranger, or Light Fighter The Warlock can be a Glass Cannon Mage, a Healer, or a Bard-like Debuffer The Titan can be a Heavy Tank, a Paladin, or a DPS Gladiator With all that potential, why pigeon-hole everyone into over-simplified melee/grenade abilities? I could spend several hours working on developing more flesh-out ideas, but why go through that when they would not even be considered? The real problem I see with this game is not so much Bungie as it is their Activision overlords who want more for less which hurts the experience for the gamers. This franchise is losing out on so much potential because they are too concerned with mass appeal. Over the last two decades I have seen my favorite games get dumbed down to entice the lowest common denominator. I miss the days of leveling a character the old way. That being you gain XP and every level you allocate points to attributes and skills and if you wanted to play a different way you had to start a new character. This one size fits all crap is ruing gaming and not just Destiny.

  • Warlock has no way of debuffing enemies. I like how it is though, it means i can switch the characters with out too much of a shake up.
