My friend and I were about to complete the ascendant challenge this week, we had just gotten to the end of the second platform section. She died due to falling and as I jumped onto the final platform and the chest spawned. We then got disconnected for the patch, the chest remained unopened. We went all the way back, completed the challenge again and no chest, and no completion credit for the bounties and pursuits. Furthermore there is no item at the postmaster to be claimed because the chest was never opened. I am pretty annoyed by this. Feeling down on destiny right now. Is there any way to get this powerful drop or completion credit?
