How hard can it be tho?
-
Probably much more difficult than you think.
-
But I know it can’t be more difficulty than crossplay in general. I dunno but this would really improve the quality of life in this game.
-
Crossplay would be a major change to the game code. It would be one thing if it already existed in the game and was disabled, but Bungie has only recently even started discussing it. Perhaps they’ll add it to D3 as the code is being written, but I’d bet that’s doubtful as well.
-
I am not asking for crossplay. I agree that that would be a major thing to do and thus would be difficult, but I am wondering whether it would be possible to save progress across multiple platforms. I theorize that to do this it would be just as simple as moving a save file from the PS4 to the Computer. I don’t care if the file would be as big as the game itself, it would be delightful for it to be so. If this isn’t possible for a while, though, perhaps they could add the option to select whether you are a “veteran” or not when creating a character; that is, whether or not you have played Destiny 1. (Lol I turned into a literary professor for a moment)

I know what you are asking for. There are many game mechanics that would be affected. For example, what would they do about PS4 exclusive items? How would they correlate accounts banned or restricted on one platform playing on another? I just don’t see it happening in D2.
-
Where there’s a will, there’s a way. All I ask is to be told whether it is possible or not. For example, PlayStation Exclusive items simply wouldn’t be able to cross over, and you would get a message saying so and telling you to switch them out beforehand. Banned users would get the same message.

At this time it is not possible.
