That wouldn't make any sense. That's a one-hit headshot death idea.

I've watched my guardian be literally atomized by everything from grenades to fusion rifles to supers to tanks. Getting shot in the head is pretty far down the list of things I'd worry about.

Edited by GrundleBeans: 9/20/2018 9:05:48 PMThat's not a good argument. Armor is there to lesson or prevent damage, and what you're describing is just the point with which the amount of damage sustained or impacted with is greater than the armor can handle. That does not negate the need or purpose of any piece of armor. There's no argument for not wearing one other than "I wanna see my character's hair and face more". Which you couldn't even do unless you're using a sword at all times. So it's not a good argument against wearing a helmet, because at least the helmet serves a purpose, both sensibly and within the mechanics of the game.

Using that logic, headshots shouldn't count as crits when I'm wearing a helmet because it lessens damage. Should just be a normal hit. Otherwise what's the point? All a head shot should do when wearing a helmet is increase flinch.

Your ghost provides its light as armor in the game, that's why it regens. So I think it would be pretty awesome to have that function

Edited by GrundleBeans: 9/21/2018 12:22:39 AMYou do understand there’s an obvious difference between an energy barrier and physical armor, right? And that one goes over the other. So basically the moment your shield is gone, the matter is a difference between a single bullet to the head = you’re dead because “I want to see my pretty hair” vs multiple bullets to the head and you’re not dead because it’s protected, sensibly... with armor... that you have everywhere else on your body for the same reason of equal protection. And again, you won’t even see your head most of the time because it’s a FPS and there are few times you can or would want to go into 3rd person.
