You must have been playing quickplay.
Because today and since the update everyone has complained about the unbalance in matching.

Quickplay is CBMM. Think that Bungie has tuned that. Although, the day before yesterday was perfect, but yesterday quickplay was laggier then normally. Even despite lag, my weapons did damage. And i don't care who i'm matched against. I always do my best and even the losing matches my ka/d is above 2. Before the update this was not the case.
