Bump I would also like to add lost sectors were not new content. They are the kill target patrol with a token box.

Indeed, they need to be something more, I remember when Destiny 1 first came out and I went down beneath the cosmodrome, seeing those enemies at a vastly higher level than me to the point that it had skulls, and wondering what could be down there that warrants ??? Level enemies, now we know they weren't guarding anything, but it stirred the imagination, and I still hope for some kind of dungeons or dungeon like activity(and to anyone reading to don't say strikes are like dungeons, they are nothing like dungeons to me) in patrol one day, because lost sectors are not that special or rewarding and they could be

If they were like dungeons we'd have far more secret bosses and treasures to find. Would love strikes if they added these features.

In FFXIV we have something called a deep dungeon, which is procedurally generated dungeon with multiple levels , and while you run it you get a special glowing version of your class weapon, if you gain a high enough level on it and the armor , you can take it to this guy outside the dungeon and convert it into a powerful weapon that can be used outside of the dungeon, I think this would be another possible thing they could do for lost sectors or as it's own thing...
