NO! not that i'm saying that but this game is created so gamers spend (time) playing this game. D1 vanilla was created the same way for the sole purpose of keeping gamers around. Bungie knows D2 is far worse off then D1 ever was and to add a feature to where everyone can complete all the endgame activities with no effort on looking for groups in this game Bungie thought about it way before D2 was released. More gamers will leave this game if that happens and Bungie will not have none of that. Asking for easy access to all endgame content is something I can guarantee will never happen. Especially when there isn't enough content in this game to be adding a feature like that in the first place. Edit: I don't ever do this but why not lol. Anyone can downvote this thread all you want, have at it :) but you want to know a little secret?
It's still not going to change that fact that Bungie will (Never do this.) Must suck for some of you to know it's me pointing out that Fact. So like I said, have at it lol...
• i agree with you, i think alot of ppl forget that increasing the playing time in order to get things of value, was all D1, was about at first. keeping you pushing on with ungodly RNG and always dangling that carrot, until the chase became like a fix. and then the shards and plant material to max them out, just crazy! all to show their pay master how much time the average player spent playing, engaged ,and ready to throw money at the screen...the game was a work in progress, and matchmaking a second thought.. any D1 Y1 out there spent half the time playing, the other half seating in orbit trying your best to put together a fire team, ppl wanted some form of optional matchmaking since forever, but like you touched on that would actually lower in game time and right now they need to increase it, so we see changes made to draw out playing time not decrease ie) the new crucible ranks, the Claymore chase, the 7 round public event, and them flat out saying it!! but this is Bungie after all, remember when everyone was running up their CoE score trying to get 1st, so Bungie thought now your spending TO MUCH TIME PLAYING so here goes a timer and penalty. along comes D2 lets put a timer on nightfalls and you see how that worked out.

  • I respect your opinion, therefore I'll upvote this anyways. However I'm not going to debate about it. It would essentially work as an in-game LFG, and wouldn't be so different than just finding a team in-app.

  • I was only looking at the any and all end-game activities. Didn't it take a while just to get the LFG in D1?

  • Yeah, but with the in-app LFG you had the ability to precisely build a Fireteam based upon what you needed for that activity, and find others who had legitimate experienced. A matchmaking feature wouldn't allow that. It'd essentially be a gamble at the cost of wasting time to find a team in-app. You'll most likely match with inexperienced people or solo players who are experienced but hate the hassle of in-app LFG.

I understand where you're going with this and I can see how this would work with certain events. IMO I don't think it would work out well as far as matchmaking in Trials and it could be an issue with raids. I'm taking it that you're referring to giving everyone a chance to experience all the end-game content. I agree with that part of it and the only way I can see that working is if it's optional. Kind if a thing of, enter at your own risk lol.

  • End game is all about the ability to learn, understand and rectify! Not to be locked out!
End game is all about the ability to learn, understand and rectify! Not to be locked out!
I understand that, but you have to understand Bungie is a business and one that is going to use anything they can to keep gamers around. They simply do not have enough content in this game and never will so it will never happen. I'm just point out that fact.

You see the wrong end of the spectrum but on the right path! The content is gated due to the lack of content and not getting the content I paid for is the reason I left! Personally played MMO for past couple decades and all the ones I’ve played with end game content, in other words every one,?has in game features, menu and avenues to source raid numbers! The app is a joke and diverts attention away from the game, you can’t do both at once but still most do! Having trouble with lag in PvP.... contact your ISP and ask one simple question, how much does my phone suck up the usage on my home hub, you will be surprised at how easy it is to lag switch with an I phone, lol use the app you know nothing but defend an idiotic time gate due to lack of content!
