Can't believe they're buffing Darkest Before
The gun is already supidly good. It pretty much rules at anything more than mid-range and has replaced MIDA as far as I've seen. And its still good in mid-range and you can even kill ppl in close range And now its getting a straight damage buff? RIP to the new meta, its gunna be Darkest Before and Antiopes and that's pretty much it. PS: the thing fires automatic so its basically an Auto-Rifle, so you could even look at it as the only Auto to get a buff lol rip crucible tomorrow

Actually, Rapid-Fire pulse rifles only got a precision damage buff. The other archetypes got a base damage and RPM buff.

If you read the notes, fast firing pulses got the smallest buff.

The fast fire rate pulse rifles will likely be the go to weapons in crucible. I can't see it going much other way than that. I have hopes of hand cannons being in there but I think that the fact that they will be able to stand flat footed and not use the air or peek shooting or anything just mow down will make them hard to beat. We will have to wait and see though. Until we play it we don't know how much the buffs were in terms of numbers. It could always be 0.000004%......

6 RepliesDarkest before is that pulse, right? That thing might be great on pc but the stability is a bit of an issue for me on consoles. I'm happy to see it buffed though. Might be properly competitive. I'm suprised the anitope was buffed though, that thing'll have more range then uriels, lol.

Depends on the damage increase to Hand Cannons and other Pulse Rifles. Inaugeral Address could take its spot. Kill Clip may let it kill in two or less bursts. I think it already has good recoil direction too.

For pc this gun is pretty strong, but for consoles is ok. Im playing on ps4 and iam happy about it

I prefer my Spire. More excited to take other pulses in though. It's not unlikely that Pulses will see more use (especially immediately after the update), but they [i]hopefully[/i] just being buffed to [b]match[/b] not [b]exceed[/b] other weapons. Meta gamers will likely jump on them and proclaim them the 'best' though, but we'll see.

3 RepliesTime worn spire is better anyway, but that aside yes it'll be good. But we don't know the percentages yet on that archetype and the other pulse rifles. The 320-360's are getting an increase to fire rate too remember. So they could really put the squeeze on the 540's if the numbers are hoid enough. I'm hoping that bungie won't stuff it up and leave us for another 6 months with a lopsided balance.

nah im gonna play the ranged game, i just got the song of justice back and its getting a damage buff DAMAGE BUFF sure it may not be a mida arctype but if i can keep my distance this thing out ranges mida and the darkest, and paired with a smg thats got the phase mag or the last hope and either a rocket or a good fusion or shot gun then its a recipe for some serious fun, but im just trying to get another null calamity (cousin deleted my first one because he infused it into a uriels eventhough i had one on each character)
