Except that you can't buy Crimson Engrams; one can only earn them through gameplay. Sure there will be a "select few" items available through EV for Dust. But one cannot directly buy Dust. Yes it may come from EV items, but those are available without spending a dime. If one does manage to actually spend money to buy Bright Engrams to dismantle for Dust to buy Crimson items with said Dust then... well, that idiocy is on them. If I'm being honest, I wouldn't care at all if they sold Crimson Engrams as long as we could still earn them through gameplay. If someone wants to buy overpriced cosmetics for a game then again, that's on them not Bungie. Just my opinion.

 • I'm not sure if your logic there. EV is not a casino. It is random, yes. It takes money, yes. But so do packs of trading cards. So do those little bagged toys LEGO and others sell. So do those toy dispensers at almost every store. Are those latter also 'slot machines' that 'promote gambling'? Gambling is only 'bad' to those who consider it as such. It's a proverbial 'grey area' upon which people will never come to an agreed consensus. Personally, I could care less either way as I'm not a gambler. Can people get addicted and go bankrupt, yes. But humans will find anything to get addicted to. Some are addicted to cocaine, others addicted to Jesus... Kids shouldn't have access to freely purchase anything without parental consent (from in-game currency, to movies, to new games). If one can do so, that's on the parents and their lack of setting parental controls, lack of proper teaching and discipline, and lack of supervision. If a kid steals money out of their mother or father's wallet and buys a sack of candy, is it the fault of the grocery store for selling said candy? No. It's the fault of the child for stealing, and the parent for not overseeing. You may not like my opinion or in any way agree, that's of no consequence to me. It is perfectly fine if you don't want to think logically or venture outside of your little thought-box. I do pity the shortsighted and close minded.
