Good advice. Another two items on which you should spend Glimmer when you hit max often and quickly: scout reports and treasure maps. The scout reports are especially useful when completing public events and when you want to complete planetary challenges quickly. Activate a report, collect a couple chests before and after a public event, and then move on to the next event.
