I don’t remember everything too clearly, but didn’t Oryx leave Quria with a little bit of it’s own will when he gifted it to Savathun? I’m asking because I read a theory sayin that Quria might be controlling the taken on Io.

Yes he did, and it’s possible that Quria is somehow infecting the Taken with Vex influence, but for now we Quria is definitely in control of a few, most, or all of the Taken in Io, but as far as we know Savathûn has some control over Quria so she is actually the one pulling the strings (keep in mind that Quria may be secretly stealing control and freeing itself from Savathûn)
