Why do Hunters have the longest cast time?

Compared to other classes and sub classes, I find that the Arc subclass for Hunters having the longest cast time due to animation. Now, compared to a titan, it's almost instant! All of these fancy judo tricks hunters do when casting it has to go, because it gives the enemy more leg room to pick you! Am I the only one frustrated about the animation of the Arc subclass, or is it just me? And please, be constructive about criticism. Anything that would counter argue my current stand on this topic is more than welcomed.

  • I agree that the animation and resilience for the Hunter Class is different to the other two. But I like it. It fits the class in my view. Hunters in my opinion are most useful flanking, sneaking and preparing for a super use. A well positioned Hunter has as much impact as any other class. The only thing I would change is a slight buff to resilience, speed or health regen when dodging while in a super, as there doesn’t appear to be much use for dodging while in super mode unless you just want to look pretty chain dodging.

    • Honestly I am starting to think Bungie just does not have a plan for the Hunter class. They wanted a third and just glued one together. Once again the class stats are near meaningless and the supers have been punched in the groin. In terms of sheer abilities the Hunter is in last place. Arch Staff is just and bad as Arch Blade was, GG and Void Tethers are worse. At least Arch Blade was faster.

      • Hey mate I kinda feel the same, although I would not change anything except the striker titan super, which has a built in smack down in its animation when it pops his super. Its really frustrating how they can just kill you in your super (arcstrider with 5 resilience) just by activating their super. If you attack them while you have a super and they pop their super you are the one who is going to die and this I feel a bit unfair. Ways to solve the problem would be ->1.Make the animation slower for striker titans. 2. Make the bulit in smack down do less dmg than a normal one (so you cant just pop your super in panic). 3. Only cast the smack down instantly when you are in the air (giving opponents a bit more time to react). Thanks

      • Not just the initial activation time, everything about Arcstrider feels slow. Though all the fancy polespinning moves look really cool, they have a lot of 'end-lag' (time where you can't act until the character finished an animation). And despite all the fancy spinning moves, somehow, we manage to not hit any enemies behind us!? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I wish this super was more agile and have a better flow to it. Bungie tried really hard to make it look like it's really agile and 'flow-y', but it's really not. It could use a few little touch ups.
