There no infrastructure in D2 that supports tournament play. No dedicated servers or LAN capacity.
That, and the matches would just be both teams oppressing each other with MIDA's, Uriel's, and Pulse Grenades. Not very interesting.
There needs to be an [i]immense[/i] amount of work done before Bungie can even attempt to try and find success in the eSports scene.

lol let me say this in Overwatch Reaper is top tier currently and every team has a Reaper running around dominating crushing everyone, How is a Mida any different? Its simply a top tier gun with the current patch... Just like Overwatch changes character Tiers all with every update im sure the Midas tier as a gun will also change, watching players work with the meta and adapting accordingly is actually quite interesting and exciting.
