Let me start off by saying that I feel the changes made to Warlocks overall feel very good in some places. Attunement of Hunger Void Warlock feels great. 2 different ways to activate a strong buff that allows you to refresh it through kills to get a heal and grenade energy back. The ability to then choose to devour your grenade for more buff uptime or use it for damage is a really enjoyable interaction. Dawnblade also feels good (or as good as not having a self rez can feel at least xD). The new Stormcaller though feels extremely bland and far too necessary. The New Play style is not engaging. Before hand when Transcendence was the Meta for this spec there was an engaging choice to make with your grenades and melees in order to attempt to line them up as close to the time your super became available. This sometimes caused players to sit back more or push more based off those decisions. Using the new Attunement of Arc Warlock this just isn't a thing. At All. You just drop a rift as often as possible and then melee to get it back again. Which leads to the next issue that has not only killed any chance Transcendence had but also the ability to run any other Warlock spec in a raid or most PvP scenarios. The Arc Soul. It is way too good to be able to add damage to you and your allies using your rift. Even if the Arc Soul damage was scaled back it would probably STILL be considered necessary by others. Like in what right mind would anyone pic to be Dawnblade or Voidwalker or even a different Attunement of Arc warlock while this exists. Reduced grenade and melee recharge also hit the Attunement of Conduction(Transcedence spec) harder than any other being that it requires having both up when popping super to fully maximize the attunement. Ontop of that the increased duration just doesn't feel like an increase in duration. It was definitely right to bring down some things about Transcendence but it feels gutted in its current state. I have been a warlock main since D1 first came out but at the moment what was once my favorite spec of Warlock is now just a bland mess. FeelsAwfulMan.
