Unable to Edit Clan Name and Short Name
I created a new clan for Destiny 2 and after playing a few games in D1 we decided to make some subtle changes, from Oh for One to Oh For One and from 0 41 to 041. It gives me an error that my clan name is unacceptable. Now, I understand we want to watch the message our clan names send and try to keep it clean, but I don't understand why anything is offensive in this clan name. Please help.

My clan is looking to change a single letter in the name. We have scoured the entirety of bungie.net and have not found a single group with the shared name. We're hoping there is a cutoff on reserved D1 group names(If the name is actually taken). So we can edit ours.

2 RepliesJust thought I'd drop off some of my experience with this issue. For me, the problem was lying in the "About Us" section. I was trying to make a new clan, and when I went through and filled everything out, I was greeted with the "The provided clan name or clan tag is not acceptable, please choose another." message. I went through and made all of my fields random text, and then when that was allowed, I changed each setting individually to find out the problem. My clan name, shortname, and motto were all allowed. So it came down to the "About Us" section. I've tried several different options, and some worked, some didn't. I'm not sure what validates the "About Us" section, since I wasn't using profanity and still being rejected. Hopefully this problem is solved at the D2 release, considering what a substantial problem it is.

2 RepliesThis is wide spread issue with other clans. My clan is over 2 years old. My motto was deleted in the transition, I tried to add it back and I get the same message as you. I was told there will be a patch pushed through on 9/5. Hopefully it will resolve this issue.
