Is there a way to check which ships you have without having to log into the game?

At least on the Android App there is. Go to Vendors, Tower, then Ship Collection. There you can view all Ships you own and those you do not own and are visible in the Kiosk (some Ships are not visible, means they only appear when you actually obtain them - you cannot preview them before obtaining them).
