Now, they never said FOREVER. ANYWHERE. They've said that some of those arcs are, in fact, sidelined for now because they aren't relevant to the current main focus. Which is Ghaul and his Legion. So, the Stranger (Staunch enemy of the Vex), Mara Sov (Possibly related to the Taken/Darkness), and the like are being pushed onto a shelf. Think of D1 as a pilot episode. Got a lot of info on the premises (What the races are, what the state of the world is, etc). From now on, we're getting the meat and potatoes of various stories. Cabal for certain in D2V. Maybe we'll get more on Rasputin and Osiris in the first two DLCs.

 • "I think some of those questions we’ve taken off the shelf to look at, and some of those questions we’re leaving on the shelf and may never answer." The words "may never answer" seem to indicate that there are stories they intend to leave alone FOREVER. They aren't definite, but the entire point of this post is dealing with that possibility, especially when it's something as big as the Exo Stranger, who was there from the end of the first mission to the end of the last mission in Vanilla Destiny. She's no small matter.

 • It's not necessarily that they've decided to leave them alone, so much as that they may decide teasing us is more fun. They'll never actually give us a straight answer, just bites.

 • The whole point of this post is dealing with one of the two possiblities. If they tell us more about who, fine, good, no complaints. But Luke Smith HAS suggested that there are items that won't be revisited, he's stated that he believes the Exo Stranger has been nicely wrapped up, and he stated that there is a universe where we don't hear anything else. It's THAT Universe that we're dealing with. So we're reacting to that possibility. One that Luke Smith himself has said is possible. We're allowed to discuss it.

 • You're treating it as gospel, however, which it is not.

 • "The whole point of this post is dealing with one of the two possiblities." What about that statement says to you that I'm treating it like gospel? I CONTINUALLY use the word IF, as in, one of multiple possibilities. If I was treating it like gospel, I'd be saying WHEN. I'm CONSIDERING the possibility that we should take Luke Smith at his word that they've think they've wrapped up the Exo Stranger nicely and we MIGHT never see her again. Goodness, I know people here like to stick to their positions like their life depended on it, but you're categorically incorrect in that previous statement, and it just shows how little you are actually thinking about discussion and are, instead, having a knee jerk reaction. NOBODY is treating it as gospel.
