Okay so that conference...
wasn't very good in my opinion. I am so underwhelmed. Anthem looks great but it isn't even exclusive. I wanted new IPs to justify getting a Xbox One X...what a name.
Am I the only one feeling this???!

2 RepliesI really dont like how they called it an xbox one x. It feels like another 1.5 console, not a whole new machine. They literally gave me no incentive to go buy it especially for $500. I'll be waiting for a price drop on this one, and Im a guy who usually gets consoles day 1.

Now aside from whatever i said earlier in the thread. You'd buy the XboneX (i hate this name...) if you want an easily accessable, powerful, console. If you feel brand loyalty towards Xbox, or want a 4k gaming experience without wanting to go out and build a $850+ rig to experience 4k, you'd get the XboneX (seriously... just why?). I remember last year after announcing project Scorpio (a good name) Phil Spencer even said that the upgraded version isn't for everyone. That's still the case a year later.

2 RepliesI mean. I've never felt why i should get a PS4, yet i own one anyway. I've never really seen the appeal of most PS exclusives, and if i did it's probably because it's weeb shit. Games like God Of War never interested me. The hack and slash genre isn't my type. Horizon Zero Dawn just does what many other games do as well, but with robot dinosaurs. It just doesn't interest me if i can do similar things in other games. The Souls series in general isn't my thing. So I've no reason to buy Bloodbourne. That's just my opinion on a few popular titles.

Instead Microsoft didn't announce a single new big exclusive game. $500 to play indie games (as great as those games look) isn't exactly a great deal.

There isn't going to be any "exclusive" because majority if not all games will also be going on pc as well. At this point you should really only be buying the xbox one x if you have a 4k tv and friends who are sticking around to play on xbox. Any and all titles made for the x will also be coming to the original xbox one. Unless phil changed his stance (which as far as I know he hasn't) any and all games made for the x have to also have a functioning version made for the normal xbox one x.

They've kinda shot themselves in the foot with this one, because im pretty sure these games will be released on pc too (maybe just win 10), and because a pc is actually cheaper at this price point, the xbox has nothing to offer.

[u]For all non-Xbox One owners[/u]: XOX is a great purchase. • It's only $500 • it's practically future proof (we won't need a more powerful console for quite a few years) • third party games will run and look better • Xbox exclusives (not as many but some of them are fantastic and worth a play) The way I see it, people are going to migrate towards XOX for the best looking third party games and keep their PS4 for Sony exclusives. This isn't a new console generation that requires exclusives for sales. You will have access to all of the exclusives available on the XB1 that you currently aren't playing while playing the best versions of third party games. [u]For XB1 owners[/u]: Not a necessary purchase at launch. It will look amazing if you have a 4k tv though. If you don't, you'd still benefit from better performance and you are future proofing. But again, there isn't a rush since all games will still be playable on XB1.

Yeah I won't be getting an Xbox one X. There's no point since I get better performance on my PC and all the exclusives are on PC now anyways. Only game I've gotten that's an MS exclusive though is halo wars 2

Yea they gave me absolutely no reason to want to upgrade. I didn't see a single game that I'm really all that excited about. I mostly play ps4 anyway, but I was really hoping for a reason to upgrade my Xbox and tv. Didn't get one.

Microsoft have no idea what they are doing. Out of 22 exclusive there was not one console seller at all. Meanwhile Sony has god of war, Spider-Man, last of us 2, uncharted lost legacy, days gone, death stranding and I probably missed a few so there is no reason to get a Xbox one X over a pro at all

5 RepliesHardware means nothing without software. As an Xbox fan and owner, there was no good, convincing software announced that couldn't be played elsewhere. I will be picking up a PS4 this holiday season instead of a $500 waste of money.
