To all the liberals bitching; he doesn't want coal to reign supreme, he wanted to get the American people out of a deal that wasn't fair to them. We give millions of dollars to a program that does what for us exactly? Squanders our money on pointless things. I mean honestly when is the last time you actually heard anything about the Paris agreement before President Trump brought it up? If you really want change for the climate you don't need to donate money, you need to write laws. Trump even said himself he would be willing to renegotiate the deal, so long as other countries pay their fair share.
I guess asking countries to not be scumbags enrages some people.

38 RepliesEdited by Unicorn Goo: 6/6/2017 1:29:06 PMHere's a little bit 'o info about the climate agreement for all the buffoons. America is 'legally bound' to contribute $3 billion a year to the Green Climate Fund. Meanwhile, the rest of the would has a 'non-binding' commitment to the fund. Meaning they voluntarily pay, while America is legally obligated to pay. The funds go to third world countries to improve their green energy, not the US. There is no accountability to how the funds are used once they are given to a country. The leader could just build a YUGE mansion, put solar panels on it and call it good. The agreement stated that the US should reduce it's emissions by 26-28% below the 2005 emissions numbers. We accomplished this in 2015 with a reduction of 32%.So, before the agreement was ever induced, we already met it's requirements and was already reducing emissions. India is expected to get $2.5 trillion over the next 15 years from the agreement. India has no obligation to the agreement, should they not receive all the funds. Meaning if they only receive $2 trillion in that time, they could just keep the money and not do a thing with green energy. The agreement does not require China to reduce their emissions until 2030. So the US could drop their emissions to 0 in that time, while China isn't required to do squat. And finally, the coup de gras. China is allowed to build 1171 more coal plants and India is allowed to build 500 more coal plants per the Paris Climate Agreement. So much for clean energy... Checkm8

Love seeing all these fools cry over this

Yeah I can't wait for the day when pollution is everywhere. I also can't wait for China to give all its money to this cause and turn the world into communists. It's so great to see the USA not taking the lead for something the USA made up. Don't worry guys, Trump is going to solve the world's problems by taking an hour long sh*t while twittering.

2 RepliesEdited by SuperStormDroid: 6/8/2017 1:18:42 AMThe president's decision won't stop states from adopting the terms of the agreement into their own laws. We don't need him to make our decisions.

Actually Trump is doing nothing but being a shill for the fossil fuel industry. ...and----inexplicably----seems to be doing things that are more in Russia's best interests than our own.

3 RepliesGive me one reason why a procedure that help us save our environment is bad? Let me explain what environment is because clearly you don't understand what is it. Well take alook around you, the place you live, spots you hangout at and anywhere you go, that is part of our environment. Well America is one of the worse countries in preserving the environment and this makes it worse. Well I hope you understand what you are praising. I don't know if you have any kids or young relatives because these will be the most effected, and there own kids etc. but you maybe selfish and you dont care.

It was non binding you god damn asswipe licking mother-blam!-er it does nothing to say you left it. Literally states can still follow it. And why is trump deciding for all states anyway what happened to small government?
-
You should see into what really the Paris Agreement is before speaking bullshit. Maybe read a decent article and not just follow blindly what fox news tell you. :/

I don't see why we can't still make eco-friendly decisions when it makes sense. So seems like a good thing that we aren't being forced to make environmental miracles.

6 RepliesEdited by thechipmunkpunk: 6/7/2017 2:56:25 PMSo I'm kind of confused on if you are upset that the US left the agreement or are genuinely happy that they did? It really isn't a matter of fair or who gets the better deal anyways. It's based on current emissions and goals to recuse said emission rates. There is also the statements of that its absolute law and is punishable but it's just suggestions that "have the possibility to be penalized." The only real penalization is just the rest of the countries in the agreement going "Look at the United States, they are bad peeps for not reducing their emissions." Realistically it wouldn't be all that bad of a thing for us to be in the agreement. If anything it would help reduce the vision that a good majority of both the US citizens and other nations think of President Trump. On one hand I want to say that I can kind of see where he is trying to go with him exiting the agreement in saying that he wants to keep these energy industries alive and prospering etc. ( don't agree with it ) but I can see where that stance is. However I also see that there are plenty of places both stateside and abroad that rely heavily on renewable energy and thrive on it both economically and emission wise. I honestly think that the current in power and influential people just are not educated enough, or are being bribed/cornered enough as some people can be into keeping renewable from taking the course people have been talking about for some time now.

2 RepliesAt the end of the day the Paris Agreement means absolutely jack shit. There no penalties, nations get to set their own goals and own time table. In the end the Paris Accord is nothing more then a pat yourself on back club for the smallest achievements and not punishing anyone who doesn't meet their goals.

1 ReplyMost folks don't know what the agreement was about, its costs, or its effects. If they did they wouldn't be mad.

7 RepliesI am disgusted by this, i say we get some plastic signs, and write on them with plastic markers. Then we'll block traffic so people are forced to sit in their cars with them idling, and make sure to bring your sleeping bags that are made from plastic products as well.

15 RepliesWhat i find hilarious is how many environmentalists jumped ship on this. For years they have complained and pleaded to get out or redo the accords because it punishes America for CO2 production but completely ignores the largest pollutants. Aka China and India. China has rolling smog storms, tons of contaminated rivers, and people are told to wear masks in the big cities everyday so they don't kill themselves from pollutants (its not just for sickness). I remember a few years back they said almost 300 million were at risk for lung cancer... think about that 300 million aka almost the entire population of the US.... Sometimes its so bad their government advises that people stay indoors and not even go to work. In India their rivers and lakes can catch fire from all the human piss in it as they don't properly treat their water. Under the Climate Accords all of that is AOK but opening a modern clean coal plant in the US is prohibited... And since Trump=evil all these leftists and environmentalists that stood against the climate accords for not being binding or tackling the biggest problems, all now love it and seem to think its the single thing keeping us from some sort of global climate apocalypse... At this point Trump could appoint Obama to the Supreme court and the left would demonize Obama as a right wing KKK -godwinslaw!- Russian spy, simply because Trump was the one who appointed him and they must be against anything he does even if its something they fought for like getting out of the Accords... I mean honestly how can they switch their beliefs and causes overnight so easily? Unless of course they only did it initially to virtue signal that they cared about the environment and now that Trump is the "evil" one they must virtue signal against him.

People will than look back and say " why was I so ignorant? To ignore the devastation that greedy corporations and men with money have done to this earth.

3 RepliesIt's histerical that Trump opted out because it's "unfair for America". Of course it's biased against us! We're one of the top polluters in the world! It's only fair we're treated harshly.

9 RepliesEdited by Number1 Casual: 6/3/2017 12:56:43 AMLOL! We are the 2nd largest polluter behind China. We have a large share to pay but I guess Trump thinks it should be 0. He needs to take his own advice.
