Palindrome is op
Only cowards use this overrated gun, due to their lack of skill of using other primaries. No variation whatsoever in this game. All you see are palindrome and ice breaker, Palindrome and ice breaker, Palindrome and ice breaker, oh, and palindrome and ice breaker. Love the variety :)

Its sold at the crucible quartermaster maybe because its made for the crucible? Everyone complained about primaries being weak but when a handcannon is deemed good, people are called cowards for using it. Gtfo

There are a lot of ways to counter hand cannons. Find one that works for you and start baiting everyone you see using them. The easiest is usually to just stay the hell out of their range. Take a MIDA or a Cryptic Dragon into PvP and see what happens when you start popping heads from a distance.

The problem is that Palindrome - the only normal legendary hand cannon which you can buy in the store, so it is not surprising that many use it. I personally use my Palindrome mainly for PvE, as in PvP I often miss the shot because of too vertical recoil animation. I prefer to use the Last Word in PvP, but only to complete crucible bounty (it's funny that last time I used this gun with a 2 months break and after a couple of matches I received a message that I'm cheating -_-). PS: You should "thank" Bungie for the situation with Icebreaker.

If your current load out is what you use in pvp then you are making it hard for yourself. Autos whilst good just aren't top tier.

Pally is actually second rate to a well rolled Eyesluna, or a well rolled Finalla's Peril for that matter. There are definitely options, it's just that pally is the most accessible. The main reason I believe you see it so often is because there are now two viable choices for your secondary. [spoiler]Ice Breaker and Sidearm. Hunter Master race.[/spoiler]
