I think that the Sleeper Simulant will be making a return in Destiny 2, and if you think I'm an idiot because it wasn't in the trailer or gameplay, hear me out. When you are on the questline to get the Sleeper, what is the first step? Defending the Warmind. This is also repeated because you have to defend Warsats as well. Anyway, if you look at the images for the future Destiny 2 DLC's, one of them is the Warmind symbol. Also, reading the description of the Sleeper Simulant you see that the Warmind defense protocol midnight exigent is labeled as still running. I think that in one of the Destiny 2 DLC's you will have to return to Rasputin and protect him with the Sleeper Simulant. What this will mean for the story I'm not really sure but it's kind of just an idea I wanted to put out there. What do you think?

Wasn't the Sleeper made by the warmind? The "leader" of the warminds is Rasputin. So it is highly probable that Sleeper is coming back. Mor evidence to support this is the new Fusion rifle class, Linear Fusion Rifles. In Destiny, the first linear fusion rifle was technically Sleeper. So, Bungo would be mistaking not to bring it back with DLC 2.

Sleeper Suliman shall return!

I think there will be something like it cause regular fusions in the heavy/power slot seem underwhelming. It's called a heavy fusion rifle in some places I think, maybe the gunsmith or a foundry has been able to reverse engineer a subsitute using our own materials rather than rasputins golden age tech.

Maybe we would get an upgraded sleeper or a similar type of weapon.
-
Would be nice if they actually followed through with the idea that the SS is just the first stage of an even cooler weapon (and part of the story)
-
They stated in the destiny 2 trailer that you lose everything, the devs have also said you start from scratch, i dont want reworked/Reskined guns in the sequel . Has to be new guns
-
Hopefully I revised and improved sleeper .

Also in its grimoire. It is given to us to save the earth from a major enemy that hasnt appeared yet.
-
Dude nothing from D1 is carrying over except our characters face. Cool theory but stick to the facts when it comes to gameplay

I'm think there might be an event were you do a warmind themed mission, and there is a secret quest hidden somewhere in the level.
