From your recent games it looks like you've tried it in the crota raid? That didn't work in year one so i guess it still doesn't work for year 3. Try the "Siege of the warmind" mission on earth on hard and wipe before going in to the last room. You should be finished in about 20 mins.

Good shout, the mission on the moon with the very weak line "we've woken the hive" works as well.
