You know, I used to like rap a lot, old rap was some of my favorite.
Now it feels like it's the same thing over and over again, with no real effort put forward.
I imagine there is some decent rap still that reminisces the style I use to like but every rap song I hear now is the same cliche mainstream song/idea
If a rap artist were to come out now and revive that old style of rap, I'd listen to that artist, but I have yet to find one so my hopes of liking rap again are slim to none.

Old school rap was much more lyrical. There are still some artists that don't talk about drugs, hoes, and materialistic things. Listen to Kendrick Lamar, or Slaughterhouse.

I mean J.Cole made Nas proud, and Kendrick made Eminem proud. I don't listen to a lot of Cole, but I've seen a lot of mixed feelings about him.
