Lol, no, that's another question. I'm not after free internet for the world, but in an ideal world that would be great. I just want there to be a suitable standard between a few companies that bring us our games, especially connection critical PvP/P2P games. Upload speeds in particular and the quality/stability of connections in general are dire for many people, and these companies pass the blame mainly on to the customer (those same companies supply the consoles, connections and games) and nobody is trying provide a level playing field for us players. I get the blame from all those companies as they try to 'pass the buck', but all I can control are a few settings on the router and console, two lengths of Ethernet/adsl wire, a master socket faceplate. Once I have set things up correctly I am at the mercy of these companies !! Destiny provides a coloured bar connection indicator, well I get lag issues even if it is green, well done Bungie, that's a very indepth analysis and kind of you, NOT??? I have the fastest, completely unlimited package my ISP offers, I still lag, I have in the last month replaced everything in my home from the console to the filtered master socket faceplate, I still lag. I have had BT engineers out to fault find, they find no faults, but still I lag. I have tried everything from static address, portforwarding, DMZ, turning firewall off, UPnP, QoS etc - even bypassing the router completely and connecting directly to the modem getting an open nat type 1, using PPPoE but I still lag.
