I achieved 5-5-2 built on my Titan and Hunter like a month before RoI drop and all I can say is it made a noticeable improvement in my pvp gameplay.
RoI made some changes to the stat roll on my armor initially but after infusing them to 370+ light it is all good now. For my Titan I'm working on towards a 3-5-4 built for PvE, just hope that I could get armor that fits me.

Awesome. I feel like half of the fun of obtaining a certain build, is the pursuit/grind of the gear you need to get it, and then the swapping/matching you have to do to make it come out right.

Indeed, will have to adjust the 3 stats across 6 armor pieces is tedious but the fun is there. Personally I use Destiny Item Manager to look at the quality of armor piece, put it on and do the adjustments. Biggest hurdle will have to be looking good at the same time with the stats I want.
