Each election comes with more damage being done to the country. Every day, we become more and more divided, more corrupt. No matter who wins this election, we will only be more polarized and more hateful toward the opposition. Just the thought of the direction this country is heading sometimes leaves people talking about leaving the country, not standing for the national anthem, unfriending folks, you name it. Heck, I admit I'm polarized as well. Never before have I been so adamantly opposed to liberals, their viewpoints, and pretty much anything they support. Didn't use to care what someone's views were, didn't even define myself or others based upon stances on the issues, but now, it's like I am perfectly fine being respectful or even having civil debates with a liberal, but I would never help one out or be friends with one.
