For those that will deny the issues of carbon emissions

Lets talk about serious issues with carbon emissions. I know there are some users who still wont accept these issues but this is also informative to those that do. The ocean water we all know and love is special to us. For instance, we have a MUCH lower carbon content in our atmosphere than our closest neighbors (mars and venus). This is due in part by our ocean's ability to absorb carbon dioxide fron the atmosphere and change it to carbonic acid... which in turn gives us carbonates and bicarbonates.. Which is used to protect our sea water's pH. The Ocean, in result, changes in pH and calcium carbonates (you know like chalk). For more information go online and type in pH regulation of seawater (i dont want to look shady and post a pdf file myself or anything) So what? The pH changes a little with the carbonic acid but the Ca ions are there to fix this! Now lets say we increase that carbon supply. Lets dump more carbon for our oceans to process. Lets drop that pH alot more. This is called [b][u]OCEAN ACIDIFICATION[/u][/b]. Acid.. sounds bad? Well it is. If our blood gets too alkaline or acidic, it can be deadly. That logic can and will apply to the fish too. I will leave a link below to the damage it can cause within the shelled, skeletoned, and coral communities. This by extension affects the oceanic food chain and ours as well. It will also show the history and future of increased ocean acidification. I will also link a john hopkins study on the increase of plankton in reflection of the increased carbon. I can link how the coral reef is dying but im sure you all know about it already. No it is not dead yet that memoir was early but it is dying (if you know what i am talking about). Final link will show just some data and research from MIT. Dont forget there are plenty if online pdf sources and other places. Any questions? Feel free to use this to spread the word and argue the problems as well as the proof of increased carbon emissions. Also worth noting that the most substantial group of organisms which are responsible for regulating atmospheric carbon levels (i.e. the carbon cycle) are Phytoplankton, and they are dying at a very fast rate as a direct result of anthropogenic actions. Practically all species of Phytoplankton are photosynthetic, which means that they take carbon dioxide and sunlight to make energy. They are the producers for the entire ocean. These organisms are so ubiquitous, that they are responsible for [i]half[/i] of the biospheric net production on Earth (not just in the ocean). So it follows that in producing so much energy, that they are the main thing controlling atmospheric carbon levels, as they take in carbon in order to create energy. The study above shows that since 1950, their population has declined by 40% as a direct result of increased atmospheric carbon and warmer ocean temperatures. The on going rate given by this study is 1%/year moving forward. Another interesting facet of this research is that phytoplankton populations under the Arctic Ocean's ice sheet are actually growing, despite all other areas seeing a population decrease. This is problematic for two reasons: A) It tells us that the ice sheets are thinning. B) More Phytoplankton = more energy being produced = more heat being released = ocean water warmer = ice sheets melting faster. This isolated growth of phytoplankton will accelerate the rate at which the ice sheets are melting. This is bad news, and the fact that we can't come together as a planet to make serious adjustments is abysmal.
