Xbox One Fireteam Privacy Options

Recently I was... ushered... into playing Destiny on Xbox One from playing on Playstation 3 for a good while. To say I'm enjoying playing Destiny is a stretch, since the Xbox One itself is difficult to get used to, but I also appear to be having difficulty with basic settings in the game itself that were significantly easier on my previous generation console. Namely, my Fireteam privacy options. On the Playstation 3, players are given the option in their roster to choose whether they want their Fireteam to be set to the following settings: Public Anyone may join your Fireteam. Friends Only Only friends may join your Fireteam. Invite Only Invitations required to join Fireteam. Closed No one may join your Fireteam. On the Xbox One, however, this option is nonexistent. Instead it is replaced by the option to open what appears to be called the 'Snap Party App', whatever the hell that is, and I have indeed run into an inconvenient problem with people I add to my friends list joining my games when I didn't invite them, and there's no way to adjust my settings to make my Fireteam private. I'm going to repeat myself here: People are joining my Fireteam when I did not invite them, and there's no way on Xbox One to adjust my settings to make my Fireteam private. People are joining my Fireteam when I did not invite them, and there's no on Xbox One way to adjust my settings to make my Fireteam private. People are joining my Fireteam when I did not invite them, and there's no way on Xbox One to adjust my settings to make my Fireteam private. Yes, I repeated that 3 times, to make sure that the message gets across here because a lot of people from my experience have a hard time with reading comprehension without having something repeated to them multiple times. Again, to be clear, people are joining my Fireteam when I did not invite them, and there's no way on the Xbox One to make my Fireteam private. I would honestly love to be able to set my Fireteam to private so that I can play things alone when I want, or to exclude certain people from playing when I am doing something with somebody else. Honestly, this is kind of idiotic from my point of view. Yeah, sure, the Xbox One is a next-generation console that is supposed to enhance social interaction, but Deej, Cozmo, you guys are not making it feel next-gen if players are not able to control who they play Destiny with and when. This isn't a feedback thing, this is not a feature request. This is a feature demand. Destiny on Xbox One is a major step backward from the norm, we're talking on the order of close to a decade, in community functionality here. Is that how you want to showcase a 'next-gen' formatted game? Making it feel obsolete in comparison to the consoles you left behind for the sake of... whatever marketing decision you went after? The only saving grace thus far regarding the Xbox One is that the community is light-years more courteous on XBLive than it is on PSN, and that the game itself is much more fluid and not as much a pain to play. People seem to be more than happy to say "Oh, sorry! I'll just chat in party then and we'll do our own thing."(which, frankly is amazing. I love being able to talk to my friends without needing to be on their fireteam... or even in the same game!). Let's get with the times, Bungie. Give Xbox One players the options that, apparently, every other console has except the Xbox One. For all you other Xbox One players out there, please comment and upvote this to help me get enough attention to this thread so that we can actually get a response from Bungie. There's no reason why we shouldn't have a menu option that Playstation gets. Console-locked gear is fine, console locking basic settings is ridiculous.

 • Exactly! Why is this issued being ignored? I am sick and tired of having random people jump into my games when I just want to have teams of friends and tackle missions together without some strangers running around doing whatever they want. Please correct this! Just another reason to switch to PS4. Come on guys....
