Agree with all. But these was asked in year one. This is going into year 3 when they finely deliver. At this point large portions of the community have already left. Some might say your the sheep for being blindly lead by the new content and thinking all is great. Just saying :)

  • Logically speaking they couldn't do it till now. Last gen held back a lot of the game wether people want to admit it or not. Not to mention the taken king essentially fixed a lot of what was wrong with the game. Similar how to Division's 1.4 update aims to fix the base game. Of course i'm not forgiving bungie for everything or stating they are perfect. But saying "it should have been there year 1" isn't productive or really even a decent stance to take.

  • Stance to take on what? Lost your point here. I was just merely making an observation. That if destiny was released now. With the market flooded with other games. What they had in year one would not be enough to get the gamers they wanted. So by saying it should of been in year one. Tells a story of how they was aloud to bleed gamers dry with drip feeding of underadiquate content in comparison to games rights now. Hence the big move on the expansion and giving destiny fans what they have asked from the beginning. Not to mention if your in the market and want to succeed on all fronts you look at your competition. See possible pit falls and plan around them. Bungie did the same as other company's. But didn't take the hit as much as division because there was nothing else on the shelf. Now look at that how you want. Great management by bungie to bleed a cash cow dry to it maximum capacity. Or inadequate management or even incompetence, that they haven't done enough market research. Because this game was missing key features every gamer loves out of this. But now they have them.

  • I don't think it was their decision to make destiny work on last gen systems. And Bungie also doesn't have control of their marketing or release dates on content. That's all activision. And destiny in itself had a major split in development. Some wanted a very deep and immersive experience. Others wanted an easily graspable experience that anyone can jump into. we got the latter. I'd rather look at the accomplishments they've made and the general improvement destiny has gotten rather than throwing on a tinfoil hat dreaming up nonsense and assuming things. Because none of which you stated is neither healthy or productive. If you don't enjoy what they've done then don't play. Simple as that. By continuing to play you're supporting their choices. Simple as that.

  • The old gens couldn't handle these changes.

  • Lol. Many people had left before they announced it. By the time they did, very little of the last gen community for Destiny was left.

  • But because of legacy consoles, these changes weren't possible! It's like trying to install Spotify on your 8-track player.

  • I completely agree with where your coming from but at least they came through. Destiny is a very large game at that and it was hard to implement these things into the game when it was still last gen based.

  • And that's another aspect people have said from the beginning. Last gen is holding destiny back. Now I don't think this with the state of the game in the first year and through the second. But what I do believe is for a game the size of destiny and looking forward should of only been for current gen consoles. Then this could of been implemented from the off. Less complaints and gamers would of been able to endulge in the destiny universe, deeper and with more experiences. But you cannot help but feel bungie has used this game as a cash cow. Bleed as much out of it before we need to fully revamp it and make it as good as it should have been from the off. And only now with other games that are bushing boundaries. Bungie are having to produce, and produce on all fronts. But I digress. I for one have preorderd rise of iron. And i will be looking forward to seeing what I hope this game could of been. And keep the little light I have left for destiny burning and make it the first game I want to play when I go online.

  • Lol @ using the term cash cow like its a bad thing. How else do you pay your employees and develop destiny 2 without making money?

  • A chash cow. That term is used to bleed every last but if money from a situation before changing it. They got a lot of money from the start. Plus with game sales. The price tag they put on ttk was over the top for what it is. They did this to bleed the cash cow dry. Rise of iron has more than ttk. But yet is not the price of a new game? Why because the moment has passed to bleed the cash cow dry. Because there are other alternatives on the market now.

  • Not at all. Look at other games. They give the option. Like neverwinter. You can if you want to. But likewise if you don't you still can. They're going very well

  • Neverwinters engine isn't a 10th as complicated and robust as Destinys. Its hard to compare the two. Bottom line tou are begrudging Bungie making money and charging to play and I am not. If you hadn't gotten taken king it will literally cost 9.99 more, hardly robbery.

  • I have a feeling the development budget for Destiny blows that of Neverwinter out of the water.
