Importance of Music in Games

I have three questions. You may answer only the ones you care to answer, or all of them. Firstly, how important is music in videogames to you? Does it not matter, is it a nice icing on the cake, is it a pretty big deal but ultimately unnecessary, or does it make or break a game for you? Secondly, let's say you hear a song that blows you away and you absolutely love it, whether it's exciting, dramatic, chilling, emotional or beautiful. However, you've either never seen gameplay from the game it's from, or you have and weren't interested in it. Does that amazing music you heard make you want to love the game, or want to try it? And lastly, what are some games with incredible music? Are those games some of your favorite, or do you simply enjoy the music? Do you feel the music changed your view on those games? Maybe share a specific song?

It's very important,The Music helps sets the mood, the music can echo the tale we are currently experiencing. I think that's one reason Martin O'Donnell had so much success with Halo's music. The Metal Gear series seems to do the same. Not really, A game can have great music and still be poop. However I will start looking for the Official Soundtrack & The Composer if it draws me in that much. Halo(Bungie's series),Dark Souls(series),JSRF,Anarchy Reigns,Bastion,Transistor,Tekken(Series),Kingdom Hearts(series). These games are all favorites and have great music.
The Lord Of Cinder theme is so powerful. In my opinion the song conveys everything we're experiencing. The Great Lord of Sunlight now nothing more than a shell of his former self,So much so He is now the Lord of Cinders(meaning dying flame). He attempts in vain to stop you,as he knows not what we are going to do?Reignite the flame? or let the world be consume by the dark? or Maybe he is fighting to see If we're worthy to replace him? The Chosen Undead walks through His/her last fog gate, the final Battle. You expect this Great lord, but you see nothing more than a hollow. Is this your future? Words need not be Spoken,You know why you're there & He knows what he must do. Let the swords talk.
