If you're in the tower...
And you see someone who is a higher light level and you want help... [b]don't spam them with game invites or party chats[/b], send them a message first and see if they're busy or if they even want to help you... spammed invites are so annoying.
Edit: I thought I was alone. Clearly, a lot of people feel the same as me; send us a message telling us what you need help with. It's not that hard. No message. No help. Spam = blocked.
Edit 2: This goes for friends, too. I don't mind helping out. I don't think I'm better than anyone, but there's still stuff I need to do in this game from week to week, so just send me a message to see if I'm busy. Out of all the comments, one person thinks I'm a douche. Lol. Look at my k/d and all my raid completions... I'm not a top tier player, I don't play Trials, and I just recently started doing KF on hard. My wording might suck, but the point still stands. And we're trending.

Judging by the comments, I can tell who that one annoying friend is... All the down votes must be those same exact people I wish to avoid.

1 ReplyThis thread hit home. Whatever week Rusted Lands was the Trials map (3 weeks ago?) I literally got harassed for probably 20 minutes via PSN messages. I ignored the first two, then nicely said I'm not interested in playing Trials, and then led to me having to defend myself. They accused me of not playing with them because I was an elitist. Apparently it was two brothers and obviously both young. Most people don't like messages from random people, one is doable, but let it go after that.

Set my controller down to take a crap one time and came back to a full team of 5 randoms in my fireteam and at least 20 party invites.

I hate getting constantly spammed with invites, usually happens sometimes to me and my friend. We usually just do what we came to do at the tower and leave. I message is always appreciated and I even helped a random that messaged me

Yeah,that gets on my nerves. Dont see It as much in Xbox. But, usually it is little kids spamming ya trying to pester you into helping them. That does not work however.

1 ReplyNot sure which is worse, the random invites or the invite that simply says "Play Destiny". If you are going to go through the steps to invite someone, at least take the extra couple seconds to say what you are trying to do! "Play Destiny" = ignored.

1 ReplySpamming invites and joining party/fireteam without an invitation are my two biggest annoyances. Invite spamming is more common for me at the tower from randoms, but it's also annoying from people on my friends list.

Level 25, Grimoire 790... *Reluctantly accepts invitation... *Voice chat is filled with a bunch of children breathing very heavily and spamming "Ultimate" by Denzel Curry... *Immediately leaves fireteam.

And five people on a fireteam does not mean that last spot goes to whoever gets there first.

1 ReplyYeah I pretty much never join unless a message is sent or at least a party chat. What they need is an expanded tower player count with a separate recruiting area where player can go to get help or wait for an invite if they're bored.

Oh yes these are irritating. If I don't know you or was given no heads up I am definitely not going to accept your friend request and/or invite. Sometimes I'll even get messages like "Trials flawless" and not only am I laughing inside because with me that isn't happening, but also the fact they are asking some random guy to run it with them. Dude if you want to pick up some random guy there are places for that and there tend to be people looking to run it. I'm certainly not gonna run it with you. Is nice that they actually messaged me instead of straight up trying to invite, though.
