Hello Tumoreno,
You're not alone. Firefly is known to make the game crash sometimes. Bungie is aware of this issue and they are investigating.

They found this issue all the way back in December and they still haven't fixed it in a patch?

Sometimes it can take awhile for certain things to be fixed.
