Been playing since day 1 and my first was Monte Carlo. It'll always hold a special place, that gun got me through many VoG and was pretty much always equipped. Still have that original one and will never dismantle.

First Exotic in TTK, technically it was an Ice Breaker from the "Welcome Back" quest where the cryptarch gives you an exotic. (I straight up bought Monte Carlo from Kiosk) But my First true Y2 Exotic was The Chaperone. Of the April Update, 1st was Zen Meteor. Very first engram i popped :)

The big ghorn from my first atheon kill. Never knew i hit the jackpot at the time and was disappointed to get an exotic rocket launcher. It was a game changer RIP GHORN and thanks to the timelord himself Atheon

jelly horn i couldnt buy the red death from xur the 1st week of the game i didnt have 2 chars yet so i had only like 8 coins but the 2nd week i bought jelly horn from him as my main was a hunter had full legendary gear from the vendors

Can't remember which came 1st but Drop - TLW, VoG chest that someone was hosting. I had never raided at that point and exotics were harder to come by, I was playing and browsing the forums and thought what the hell so ran my 3 toons thru. Dropped 4 Hunter which was a struggle since he was my last character and hadn't unlocked all the jumps. Maybe it's cos exotics are easier to get now but u never see the forum community do the equivalent of this anymore, have we became cold?? Bought - IceBreaker, was under levelled trying to solo the weekly for those extra few coins at 2am before Xur's deadline, luckily a mate who had only just started playing was online so I managed it. Glad I did IB opened up all aspects of the game making weeklies, NF and even strikes easily to complete and was essentially when I first started raiding.
