You Think Destiny Is Bad? Division 1.1 Patch Deleting Entire Characters On Accident ...

Man, comments and poll exploding like nuts.
Can't get to everyone. Really wanted to keyboard warrior as many as I could.
Long story short : Division's 1.1 Patch is deleting users' entire characters.
Shorter story : Be happy your FPS issues aren't as dire.
Plus 1 to Bungie, courtesy of Division's -blam!- up.
Now...
If you'd care to stop ramming your users up the ass ...
We'd love you even more Bungo.

1 ReplyFunny how I haven't a character deleted in the division. Had my M1a gone but came back in an hour. Not game breaking as PoE. Division reminds me of the good old days of Socom and I'm loving it. Destiny was fun until this update with PoE. Will not touch it

4 RepliesPeople may be arguing that Destiny has sucked up more money from them than the division. But your time is more valuable than anything else folks. A deletion of your character is the deletion of your time.

It was a synchronization error with the servers. On the user side, it shows no available characters...but the character save is still on the Ubi servers....Once resolved, you character is returned with nothing missing..... But, hey, why read articles when you can post inflammatory and misinformed remarks based off of a misleading article title.

Also, they have the power to fix the characters as they stated. Bungie does not. Division wins cause it shows they can reroll any errors or incident while Bungie can't.

4 RepliesPatch rolled out... Errors were found and a fix was rolled out HOURS later.. not weeks or even days. Hours... Also those characters were restored to my knowledge.. Something Bungie has refused to ever do.. Restore lost content.

Not exactly, the characters weren't deleted they just can't be accessed due to a file corruption on one of their dedicated servers that occured during their update. They'll roll back the server and the characters will return to their April 12 state. You see, dedicated server archetecture is not all good...
