Want more than three chances at Stirling Treasure Boxes buddy? No worries friend. Just buy Canadough and you can buy all the boxes you want, guy.
Pay to win you say?
No, no, that's not true buddy. It's light level 3, guy.
1:1 infusion makes that a moot point you say? But it's only 200 Canadough and it's still RNG, friend.

9 RepliesEdited by Valkar: 4/1/2016 11:38:17 PMI'm glad theirs micro transactions. I'm VERY happy with it actually. Destiny is a product made my Bungie, a Company who makes games. Destiny is a 10 year plan game so of course they can't rely on your one time $60 purchase to fund 10 years of new content. Bungie is a company and companies make money to therefore make more content and make more money to make more content. Soo theirs 3 options for bungie to fund all these years of development. 1- Paid for DLC like HoW, Dark Below, and TTK. The problem with this is that it splits its player base, making it a less social game. The social aspect is a pretty big part of destiny. If your friend doesn't have the DLC then you can't play together, therefore splitting the community and limiting the social parts. 2- Monthly Subscription like many other MMO games. Granted it would be a small subscription because they don't need that much. If every destiny player paid $5 a month, that would easily fund DLC (assuming). The problem with a subscription is a ton of destiny players are kids who have no income or people who aren't willing to pay a subscription. The game would also probably be a free download as well but that doesn't mean they can play. So by trying to go with the most well lucrative way of funding the game it would kill off most of the community and that $5 would raise to $15. 3- Orrr you could go the way of micro transactions. What have they done so wrong to you [In Destiny]? They put some emotes, sparrows, and now those packages in the April update (even tho you can totally earn them if you have the slightest bit of patience) behind a paywall. This stuff works too! 60% of the long time players I see have a special sparrow or a dance. Theirs no ads, theirs nothing in those packages that are OP or game breaking, it is literally purely cosmetic things. And if your a true supporter of bungie, spend $5 on that badass sparrow. Micro transactions are the best way for destiny to fund itself while keeping its player base happy. Ya, micro transactions have royally sucked before. *cough* Halo 5 *cough*. But this is different. For now at least, these are the best micro transactions ever. They appease players who aren't willing to spend anymore money than they already have and reward players who support bungie without making them OP. So please, stop hating on bungie for this smart business choice. And to people who made it to the end of this (not you people glancing up from the comments ;)) congrats!

"So who should we root for?" "Well, I suppose the patriotic thing to do would be to root for the Canadian Devil. Of course, if the regular Devil wins we'll all be spared a thousand years of fiery damnation." "Screw that! Go Canada!"

2 RepliesWorse it's payed RNG! You seem like you understand that destiny isn't pay to win yet, but your in denial about it...
-
1 ReplyI don't think you understand what pay to win actually is. Allow me to enlighten you my Canadian friend. Say for example, You could buy a year 2 Ghorn or Ice Breaker for say $25 (don't know the conversion sorry) via the Eververse, and that was the ONLY WAY to obtain them. People that could spend the money would have an unfair advantage in PvE and PvP and be more valuable teammates than those who didn't/couldn't spend the money. That is Pay 2 Win.

2 RepliesIdk what it is with this community being so butt hurt about everything all the time... Seriously, lighten up. It's not pay to win, we have no evidence that bungie will ever make any aspect pay to win. How about we all calm down and actually play the update before losing our shit all over the forums? That'd be great.

3 RepliesWhat is this pay for gear stuff? If it's micro transactions then I get it, but is it something else now that I missed?
-
1 ReplyC'mon buddy. Relax guy.

1 Reply1:1 infusion was necessary. I hated getting 280 exotic drops and then not getting the full effect when infusing. Basically, I'm not infusing a single darn thing from now until the April update.
