1k stare is definitely in the lead of snipers because it's the most bullshit one. I've been forced to pickup a sniper with this new bs sniping meta and the 1k is definitely the cheapest one. Idk how people could possibly argue otherwise. Sure there's others that are easier but they can't rez snipe. 1k is great for any scenario.

I feel you man, there's like 4 snipers that can Rez snipe. Which is a super important thing when looking at a sniper as a viable choice. They need to buff the other sniper archetypes so that they can actually be taken seriously. The dead orbit sniper and the Uzume are both pretty fun but they can't Rez snipe and they can't take down supers quickly at all. So you turn to 1k stare or eirene, because one takes up your exotic slot and other viable choice is a hunter exclusive.

Weapons don't have enough diversity anymore compared to yr1. (My personal opinion)

Nononono. That makes too much sense. Yr1 players have to start the game completely over they want their gear they worked for to be completely useless. #sarcasm
