The Hunter asked the circle of Guardians who were equally awaiting a plan. Markus and the Titan shrugged, Cosm0 just stuck as close as she could to the Titan. "I have a solution." The Warlock spoke up, standing a few feet apart from the Guardians to draw attention to herself. Surely enough, it did. "We will pair up." She announced, clasping her hands together. "Ain't nobody got time for that, nerd!" The Hunter also spoke up. "Well, we will make time..." The Warlock responded, trying to keep herself from losing her temper in front of the guests of the Fireteam. She did have the choice to cut his communications with her, but she needed to stay in contact with the team at all times... Even if it meant listening to him. "Anyway," she continued, "Titan." She called his class name, pointing at him. You shall go with, ah..." She moved her finger around the group of Guardians, looking for the perfect match. He definitely wasn't going with the Hunter, they'd get side tracked together. He wasn't going with Markus, that kind of partnership seemed too hyper. It seemed the only best possible choice was-- "Cosm0." "D'OH!" The Titan exclaimed with a strong flinch. "YES!" Cosm0 squealed in ecstasy as she broke apart from the group to twirl happily. "YESYESYESYESYEEEEEES~!" She then bolted back to the group and clinged to the Titan's arm. The Titan grunted as Cosm0 clung to him. Then he began to whimper, pathetically. "Aw what?" The Hunter said in disbelief. "You're doin' that on purpose! You know I like workin' with the big bot!" He began to approach her. "Or do you just want me to join the Nerd Herd?" He finished mockingly with jazz hands. He was not going to work with a Warlock. The Warlock mumbled something under her breath before taking the Hunter by his shoulders once he got close enough. "That, is a splendid idea Hunter!" She said with a shocking amount of enthusiasm. "Huh-- Wha?" The Hunter sputtered. What in the world would be such a good idea? Why would joining a Nerd Herd be a good idea? "Oh yes~." She continued, her voice turning into something much more sly. "Joining us would be ideal. 'Us', meaning you..." She went on, turning the Hunter's whole body around to face the male Warlock. "And Markus..." With that, she gave the Hunter a surprise shove in Markus' direction. "Woah hey--!" He started to lose his footing, partially because of his injured leg. "Woah, I got you!" Markus exclaimed happily to the Hunter before catching him in his arms. "Gotcha~!" "Oof!" The Hunter grunted as he landed into Markus. He stayed in there for about five seconds, before looking up at Markus, and realizing just what was happening. He was in the arms of a Warlock. A Warlock that wasn't the Warlock on his Fireteam. Which meant he was catching some kind of nerd disease! "Oh HECK no!" He shouted before pulling himself away from Markus, dusting himself off as if he wanted to rid himself of remnants from the stranger Warlock. Markus chuckled. "I was only tryin' to help~!" Sure, the Hunter was a tough nut to crack, but he was going to get through to him eventually! "'Lock, you can't do this to me!" The Hunter pleaded as he whipped his head in her direction. The Warlock crossed her arms. "I can," she began, "And I have~." ____________________________ "Alright, is everyone prepared for departure?" The Warlock asked the group of Guardians, now paired with their appropriate partners. "What's the plan again?" Markus asked her, standing beside the disgruntled Hunter. "We will simply patrol different sectors of the moon, if any of us finds anything interesting, we will contact each other through our Ghosts." She explained as she held out her hand, preparing to summon her Sparrow. "Since there are only five of us, I shall go alone." "Alright, alright!" Markus nodded at her before looking at the Hunter. "Ready to go?" "Hang on, hang on, Nerd Number Two, I just have to say bye to the Titan..." The Hunter said. "Oh, for the love of the Traveler..." The Warlock scoffed as she let her hand fall to her side. "I'm gonna miss you..." The Titan sighed, looking down at his little buddy. "You're gonna have to be strong big guy," The Hunter placed a hand on the Exo's shoulder. "Because what we have, is unbreakable." The Titan started to whimper; he was really going to miss the Hunter. "Oh come on, dude, everyone's looking." The Hunter tried to comfort the larger Guardian. Markus and Cosm0 looked at each other, then at the Hunter and Titan, then back at each other. Cosm0 jerked a thumb at the two, and Markus shrugged. Both Warlocks seemed to be in their own physical conversation. "Alright, your time has elapsed!" The Warlock snapped, finally ending the Titan and Hunter's over exaggerated departure. "We are separating, now." "C'mon, studdy, let's go~!" Cosm0 grabbed the Titan's arm again before pulling him in the direction that they had agreed to travel in. "Awwwwwww..." The Titan whined as he followed her. The Hunter grunted before going off in he and Markus' own direction. "C'mon, Nerd Number Two, let's peace out." "Okay, wait up!" Markus shouted as he followed the Hunter. The Warlock watched the Guardians leave, before holding out her hand once more to summon her Sparrow and travel in her own direction. ____________________________ The Warlock braked her Sparrow, studying the new environment she had traversed into. "Hm." She noted mentally before dismounting her sparrow, it disappearing not too soon after she dismounted it. She walked towards a large boulder, running a hand slowly over markings carved into it. "Appears to be Hive..." She mumbled thoughtfully, removing her hand from the rock. "Ghost, would you mind tracing these markings so that I may take these for examination?" Her Ghost appeared beside her head. "Warlock, what kind of Ghost would I be if I allowed you to muddle those beautiful hands of yours?" "Ohoho, Ghost." She couldn't help but chuckle bashfully by her Ghost's smooth demeanor. "No-- No, I'm asking." The Ghost said to her. The Warlock looked at him, blinking under her helmet. "Oh," she said, suddenly starting to feel embarrassed. "Erm, ah... N-not a very good one?" She guessed tentatively. "Darn straight." Her Ghost replied before floating towards the boulder, getting to work. ____________________________ "So, anyway, my favorite thing about to moon is--!" Markus went on, and on, and on, and on to the Hunter. The Hunter tried to ignore him, mumbling curses under his breath as he climbed a small pile of rocks and boulders of medium size that blocked the path. "Oh hey wait for me~!" Markus shouted as he also climbed the boulders. "Oh gosh! Moon rocks are pretty neat when you think about it!" Markus began to talk. Again. "I can probably make something out of these things!" "Whatever creature of the Darkness is around here, just take me now..." The Hunter grumbled as he limped along the path. "Or at least let me find something that'll distract Chatty..." "Oh!" Markus said upon some random realization. "Do you need help with walking, there?" "NO." The Hunter shouted at the hyper Warlock.
Take 49, and that's fine!: https://www.bungie.net/en/Forum/Post/186501467
