1. Complete the secret side mission in the "Lost to Light" story mission in the allotted time. Its only available when that mission is the Daily Heroic mission like it was yesterday. (Finally got mine last night). Power up....and bring a good, and trusted fireteam. Because it is one of the hardest missions in the game because of the difficulty and the time limit. I got mine last night with 23 seconds to spare.
Reasons for failure? Spending too much time clearing out the room where the Fallen walker is in the Taniks strike. Focusing too much on the adds in the final boss room. Best strategy seems to be to take him out as fast as possible with a WoD and exotic swords....so he isn't continually spamming blinding spheres at you. Then focus on taking out the blights. Then once the blights are gone, focus on clearing out the remaining adds.
2. It only needs 45 total. Doesn't matter which 45. But it has to be 45 fragments in the possession of THAT character. It can't be 45 spread out among all your characters.

I disagree on the final room. Every time I have had success on it we prioritised blights and majors above all else. Majors will wreck you quick, and the nights keep spamming adds non stop. You can dodge his attacks. You can't dodge a room full of angry taken.

Edited by kellygreen45: 1/7/2016 7:32:51 PMI had two clan mates keeping that ante room clear with exotic swords while I was moving from side to side sniping blights. I'm not saying that its the only strategy...just the one I had success with. But I found that most teams I played with simply couldn't execute that strategy you mention. They'd wind up getting too distracted by the adds spawning everywhere to go after the blights, and we lost too much time trying to recover from being blinded by the boss. Since his attacks can easily go through walls. The key is simply to keep that ante room from being overrun. Once the blights are gone, clearing out the remaining adds in the main room goes AMAZINGLY fast.

I did the daily and I got the spindle but here comes the hard part in the last part I killed all the ads in the last second receiving black spindle but my teammate got kicked out of the bungie servers when that happend so he didn't receive it

Oh I promised him and also helped him with exotic sword quest and chaperone nevermind my kd he deserves it
