Am I really a crippled player leaning on a crutch?

My old crutch was Felwinters. Now that I'm ok, I use Inward lamp, or MIDA in certain situations.

I like playing with the Mida, To this day it's the gun I've gotten the most kills with. Ill keep using it no matter what people say [u]because I like the gun[/u]

More like: i use the meta because i've always sniped and need sth against shotgunners

5 RepliesEdited by QuiscalusMajor: 1/5/2016 7:02:35 PMi've used MIDA since Vanilla. when Thorn and TLW were king, it's what i used, when pulses were hot shît it's what i used, and i'm still using it now. it's not my fault other people want to use it now also, and i have other scouts i also enjoy running when i want to use other exotics in the crucible. i don't fault them for wanting to use it either because as fun as it is, i know how tough it can be to get kills against shotgun rushers and snipers if you're not prepared. -blam!- anyone calling it a crutch, just play with what you like ffs.

I use finnala ' s peril and I wreck last word users all the time. Every once and a while they will get lucky with three shots to my dome piece. But that luck doesn't compare to a steady hand with a good hand cannon. I can consistently land three head shots no problem. I think using weapons that you like, finnala ' s peril in my case, is way more consistent than just using the meta.

I've been using MIDA since I got it in year one, and been using 1000-Yard Stare since day one of TTK. Not my fault everybody wants to be like me (;

Red Death and raid shotty ( for up close emergencies). I got out ranged by Mida, sniped out of my socks by 1k stare and cut down up close by the Hatchet but never strayed from my set up.

2 RepliesBiased. Poll is biased. Where's the IB scout/IB sniper option? It easily wrecks every scout, and the sniper can hit back to back head shots in miliseconds. Absolutely amazing.

What if I do well with all snipers and love my incredibly stable hung jury and the only reason I use 1000ys is that it is my only high impact sniper??

Ill be honest here, i have always used last word and snipers. I got last word from sepiks prime in year one and i have used it in everything. Used it before it was a "meta" and now i get all the hate mail possible for using the setup i have always used, quite funny getting them actually :]

5 RepliesNo weapon will instantly make you better at PvP. I use 1000 yard stare and suck at sniping. I suck at PvP, no particular weapon is going to change that. I can suck just as much with a sniper or a shotgun, TLW or MIDA, Truth or a machine gun. There is no crutch, you are either good or not, and I am not.

I've used tlw like twice in year 2 and MIDA I have less than 100 kills .

The only weapon I think takes zero skill and should be considered a clutch weapon is that raid hmg. Why only quill? For the simple fact the moment you see the guy with it you get hit one time and die. Everytime. That's not to say it's a one bullet kill I just think it lands 8 bullets in less than a millesecond thus making it seem like a one hit kill. People use what they like or what gets them kills and I understand that but when using the quill you have to feel the same way a serial killer or rapist does Just saying.

I don't care what the meta is, if I like the gun I'll use it, I've been using Atheons epilogue and it destroys I use what's fun
