I've tried team shooting, and running away , my best guess is it needs to be countered by a super.
A sniper shot would work I guess but they usually are moving way to fast and are already up on you before you can aim.
I suppose if they pop their super and you are in their kill range then you have no super unless you super them back ... Am I right about this ? Any tips would be appreciated

Edited by Ferus Lux: 1/2/2016 3:02:18 AMUse your super. If you're a better player, you'll have more kills and thus, your super. As soon as you see the player hovering toward you, Arc Blade that ho. Show them who wields Arc Light better. Striker Titans will always kill Storm Trance and with Peregrine grieves, you can run around a corner, U turn and jump shoulder charge the moron which will do bonus damage causing a one hit kill. Lol

Dance with them. Sometimes they will stop and dance with you and then you both sit down and stare into each other's eyes while chaos erupts around you

6 RepliesThere are multiple counters as everyone has mentioned. My personal actual successes at countering: 1. Shadowshot or nova bomb to the face 2. Throw a void bomb in their path and shoot them as they cross through it to get to you. With enough distance you can ko them right before they reach you. 3. Getting behind them leaves them open to shotguns. I managed to hit one as they were focused on my team mate. 4. SWORDS. Hide behind the corner and slice them in half as they come around it. The most difficult part is making sure you aren't caught by surprise. It isn't as obvious when they activate as with Sunbreakers. I wear headphones instead of using the TV speakers for the sake of surround sound and being able to pick up on that electric sizzle. You wouldn't BELIEVE the difference it made in my game by listening to the game effects via my BOSE headphones. The downside is that I can't use mic at the same time, but then again I'm sure I focus better without the chatter.

Shadowshot works like a charm

4 RepliesI found picking them up and throwing them off a platform usually ends up with me trading kills but it's fine because my son gets away.

Super them. Of course, if you don't have a super or 'nade, just run and don't look back.

You guys cant say its OP, honestly it isn't at all. I get shut down all the time. Its either used well or destroyed immediately, if you cant kill it then you are just in the wrong place at the wrong time

Sniper

Die and drag the respawn timer out as long as you -blam!-ing can otherwise he'll probly get ya twice
-
They're the easiest super to shutdown. Just shoot them. Snipe them. Rocket them. Shotgun. Run circles around a box etc so they can't hit you.

You snipe him in the head.

9 RepliesEdited by Dooodley: 1/2/2016 6:13:26 AMI play gunslinger so my options are pretty limited unless they come in a straigth line from 100 ft and I have time to land several sniper rounds. I find it unreasonable that everyone should have to save a super just for stormcaller - similar to how it used to be for sunbreakers - when it's not needed for the other offensive supers in the game. It also doesnt help that Bungie persists on spawning people in the same spot they just died, resulting in that the stormcaller - with the over the top duration - has time to kill you three times. I also find it pretty ironic that people with k/d's around 1.0 or below are trying to hand out tips when they can't even counter normal weapons. I guess stormcallers, specifically, is the one thing they're nailing - and from the look of it every time.

2 RepliesSnipe them. Shoot them down as they come at you. I do this with my sidearm, shotgun, and melee if necessary. Use your super to counter theirs. Except my arc blade won't register hits half the time so I usually won't waste it unless it's a clutch situation. You can out run them and they'll chase you around the map wasting their super on you, just like people do to me when I pop my blade. Anyways, point is that they're strong in their super, but nowhere near the point to where we need to start crying op and ruining another subclass.

2 RepliesI've only ever defeated a Stormcaller from real far away, or right in their face with a shotgun and vanish.

I shot one in the head as it was charging me. I won

I main a warlock and stormcaller is OP PvE and PvP. Who else can solo clear all adds + 4 knights on hard oryx with a super? Only stormcaller. I'll just ionic blink out of everything and over and around sunbreakers and golden gunners and bladedancers and over novabombers because it's spammable and barely takes any super away. 320 warlock, not lying about maining warlock, this subclass is op (except in 3v3 play where there is more coordination)

Same way I defend against Arc Blade, Golden Gun or Hammer of Sol. Shoot them, super them, grenade them or melee them. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.
