Definition of Bekenstein limit:
"In physics, the Bekenstein bound is an upper limit on the entropy S, or information I, that can be contained within a given finite region of space which has a finite amount of energy—or conversely, the maximum amount of information required to perfectly describe a given physical system down to the quantum level."
If the Bekenstein limit quantifies a given finite region down to the quantum level, how can it be broken?
Please give your theories below
Edit: my theory - if the void, solar and arc elements and whatever dimension the Hive inhabit through their dimensional rifts are not covered by quantum theory then there could be a larger amount of information required to describe a finite amount of space
(i.e. Space magic)

2 RepliesThis might also be achievable through Quantum Entanglement, allowing the data to exist within multiple finite spaces at the same time while also being completely accessible through a single location.

Oryx was too complex for even a vex mind that was designed specifically and made for understanding the hive. So I doubt us humans could find out ;)

They have a better understanding of physics and there is actually no limit
-
Yes having the information down to the quantum level definitely gets broken when all of a sudden you have another dimension occupying the same space

3 RepliesThe lore surrounding them has a lot to do with entropy and its prevention. The most probable answer is space magic voodoo with void.
-
1 ReplyLikely, it cannot be broken. And ( I ) decreases as time passes since S always increases in the universe.

You ask this in a game which you cannot even wear all exotic gear??.

Perhaps it's a computer that runs in multiple dimensions. I know there is a ghost scan object that says oryx uses this item to basically waypoint himself to a specific dimension. So perhaps the computer with the info runs through multiple, or Infinite, dimensions. This would make it a finite space in our dimension per se but it's actually an infinite space. Just my thoughts. Dunno if I wrote it out the best way tho lol

well figure this. the hive are from galaxys we do not know of. out beckenstien limit consist of everything they have documented about our galaxy plus information we didnt even know exsisted so the bekenstine limit was increased for us therefor breaking our current limit by having more data then thought possible.

2 RepliesI wondered why he said that when you activated that tower and started shooting hive. I always assumed it ment the hive in numbers then again I have no idea what it was in the first place

I think if there was a logical explanation, we would have the technology today...

I believe the hive are able to open up rifts to expand into more dimensional planes of existence that is why everything on the dreadnaught is so big. Oryx has his whole throne world inside the dreadnaught which means he can basically get it as big as he wants...I think something like that.

The writers wrote it into the script. Logic need not apply.
