The shotgun's reign of terror is coming to an end. And shotgun player's tears taste delicious.
Sorry shotgun players. No more cheap easy kills. You better get some actual skill if you want to keep using the shotgun. No more sliding into a doorway and killing someone all the way across the room. No more blinking near an enemy and blasting him for a kill. No more charging around a corner and killing an enemy in one shot at a ridiculous distance. If you want shotgun kills when the update hits you're going to have to actually get up close and personal.

4 RepliesYour best kd is .82. You're going to suck at pvp no matter what. Just wait til post shotgun nerf and you will still be dragging your team down. Round after round you will still be easily bested by anyone bc you cant even trade kills.

I think this is great. Now if they just get rid of the rest of the weapons Destiny will be so much more fun.

Fair enough. Ill still mob shotty cus there's no way in hell im tryna rock a fusion(unless the buff actually makes them competitive) and we all know that snipers are gonna become the new shotgun(they already kind of have, i see so many posts complaining about snipers these days). After december im rocking hawkmoon or mida multitool with deidris's retort.

9 RepliesThose of us who don't use con-D have to get close enough to punch anyway. Things won't change. I'll still use a shotgun and will forever enjoy watching campers scatter like birds. This rivalry between shotguns and snipers is hilarious. Each side tends to use the easiest to use sniper/shotty Imagine snipers AA got lowered by a lot. You'd see who the real sniper are then. Not these sit back and scope a hallway dicks. IMO both sides are just as bad. Both have crutches. It's just snipers think they're skilled and above shotguns. It's laughable

Now if only they would nerf sniper aim assist to were aiming was required then the pvp would be much better.

2 RepliesUp and personal? Topkek. With this nerf they just made every shotgun besides conspiracy theory irrelevant. Rangefinder + high range will still wreck in close quarters, bungie is just removing all of the competitors.

I put shotguns only on my titan cause it fits, same with fusion rifles on my warlock(if I ever play it) and a sniper on my beautiful hunter

You are going to end up with useless weapons that take [b]magazines[/b] just to kill a 1/2 dead target! Then what will I read? We need guns that kill? Well, "you have them now"! At least, what's left of them... Be careful what you ask for, Bungie will guarantee you get it...

11 RepliesI swear the kill feed only reduced a portion concerning shotguns. The re-roll phase was painful.. I teared pure crystalline salt as my fusions we're being outgunned at FURTHER ranges by shotpackage felwinter/matador/Sir buzzkillington(Party crasher) GOOD RIDDANCE We're not hunting helpless wildlife, we're not shooting targets above a field wearing white pants and a hunting jacket we're not testing out our new license at the gun range we're in a video game, that deserves balance and choice I cringe when I see someone make an analogy to something real when destiny is clearly a video game. Ever since TTK. I've even picked up snipers. And I've earned then respect of a few repeat opponents in trials

4 RepliesAll nerfing ever achieves long term is a decrease in the effectiveness of weapons in pve. Highly skilled players will still own u in pvp with a shotgun and ull feel even worse knowing theyve been nerfed - AGAIN. The whole reason weve ended up with exotics that dont deserve the title and meta setups rather than a range of weapon types to choose from that are effective is because of people whining about pvp balance when for half of us its not even important. Just imagine a world where suros and vex were never nerfed and were worth the effort to get. Imagine a world where no-one had moaned about ice breaker and gjallahorn being crutches or firsteams demanding them so that bungie had decided to bring them forward. No nerfs would have given us a huge range of weapons. The time to kill argument is weak. Just give us more health in pvp and allow these glorious weapons to fulfill their potential!!! Cuz right now, not one of them is worth the time it takes to get and ALL of the weapons we get excited about before release will be made totally useless by people like u. Salty tears? Ours are from looking back at the good old days. Yours are ruining the game. Carry on tho, i cant wait till ur on the receiving end complaining that you worked really hard to get X only to have it made redundant by the next lil b**** to get salty cuz they werent good enough to counter X.
