First off, Kotaku [b]assumed[/b] that microtransactions are going to finance future DLCs, it was never officially confirmed by Bungie or Activision.
Secondly, you need to define "DLC".
DLC is a wide spreading term and it could mean everything from "five new weapon skins" to "10 story missions and a Raid".
Maybe Activison/Bungie will continue to charge us for the main DLCs (those who contain a Raid) but at the same time they'll start to hand out free mini DLCs with new emblems, ghost shells etc.
