FIXED IT. I've been having this problem for 3 days and it stopped downloading, showing the error instead, every time. Honestly, I don't know if this was just for my PS3, but apparently it's not Bungie's fault. At least not on my end. I researched the issue, and turns out people have had this issue with other games in the past. One solution I read from a random user was to turn the media server *completely* off (not just video/music/ or photo individually) I turned the media server off and boom, update finished. It probably more or less stutters the connection from the PS3 to your modem and causes it to time out. Hope this helps a few of you out. I was downloading the 8,611 mb update. Let's not jump to conclusions and kill bungie now, this game wouldn't even be possible were it not for them. Thanks Bungie! No wonder their admin's keep posting here telling people to troubleshoot the error codes, even though I just googled "destiny ps3 update error during download operation" and didn't even put the code. Go figure
