Stop saying the light level system was changed. News flash: it wasn't.

Ok, can we just put an end this whole "we changed the light system!" load of horse dung? News Flash!!! Nothing has changed. In vanilla destiny, you leveled to 20, then had to find/buy better gear to do the higher level content. In ttk, you have to level to forty, then find/buy better gear to "increase your light" to do the higher level content..... Nothing has changed. Same system, wrapped in a new package. Now it just takes longer to get marks to buy gear, and we are all still at the mercy of RNGesus. This is just simple misdirection, and either the gaming media was stupid enough to fall for it too when they hyped this expansion to death, or they were complicit in the deceit. Edit: After playing for the past week, while I still think the system itself is not really that different, the methods used to level are far superior. I like the infusion system quite a bit now, and the drops are nice and frequent. Doesn't change the fact that we still are at the mercy of rng, but the rng seems a bit less punishing now, which is a step forward for sure.

  • My hunter is 7 days old and is nearly light 290. It took my Titan 2 months to be at the same level after launch. The loot still random but it drops more and more often than not better to help infuse. I've had no trouble with marks either. They throw it at you.
