Problem with Morphon, the Blighted Mind in the Paradox mission
I'm playing through the Paradox mission(assigned as part of the questline The Taken War: Venus), and I'm up against Morphon. After a couple teleports, it's become invincible, immune to all damage. It's the same effect the Taken Goblins can give to allies, but all the Goblins have been killed. It's just Morphon and myself, and while he continues to fire his Void shots, I can deal him no damage. I tried all elemental types, non-elemental guns, and the Stormcaller grenade, melee, and Super. Just to cover my bases.
I'd like not to have to abandon the mission for a second time, only to have this happen again. I feel that I must anyway, if the problem cannot be fixed mid-game.

How can you survive being detained by morphon? I've gotten trapped a few times and whenever I escape it I die seconds later.

I had the same problem where he went invincible. I ran around him and found another pack of taken and a yellow following cube thing floating in the air. You have to shoot it until it blows up them he becomes vulnerable again. He'll do that again a couple more times and you just find the yellow cubes again. He'll also drop these dome things on you, just shoot them until you're free. I struggled at first as to what to do when he became immune. But I completed it without dying. I'm currently at lvl 40 light 286.

1 ReplyApparently what happens is that when you've dealt the damage it must teleport to a further point where those oracles are, but it doesn't teleport. However it does switch to the invincible mode.

5 Repliesthis boss has a invincible state in the gorgon area to remove this you need to find a greenish color oracle and destroy it this gives you a window to kill the boss. Nearly all the boss in the taken king have a extra mechanic like this so you just need to think outside the box.
