Hello all,
If you are having issues with downloading Patch 2.0 on the PS3, please ensure that you have enough space for the patch. For PS3, you’ll need closer to 20GB free for the required update during installation, and then about 10GB free for the required update after installation. If you do have enough space on your hard drive and are encountering problems with the download, please reply to this post with the specific error code you are receiving.

I haver a ps3 and I have the other two expansions already, and I can't buy the taken king on PlayStation store, it says that is not avaible for purchase, and in game when ai try to buy it, it says that there's nothing to purchase..

Why do i have to install destiny again? I already updated and installed the new content. I've got kicked off in the middle of gameplay because there was a problem reading the new content and now it is making me re install destiny...

Gave up yesterday after multiple attempts. Plenty of storage on my PS3, solid Internet connection, but very slow download and several "could not download update errors. Same as others have gotten. Tried again this morning starting at 0800 ET. Download started fast enough but stalled at 77%. Now at 81%, with 1% being added every 20 minutes. At this rate I'm looking at another 6 hours to download the remaining 19%. I've tried everything, but it is apparent that the issue is with Bungie's servers. I get that several people are trying to update, but Bungie should've known this would be an issue. I'm not playing right now, and that really stinks. I have no access to my game, instead I'm forced to check a status bar to see if it's downloading or, God forbid, errors out again. Thinking of canceling my preorder for TTK and just buying MGS V. Probably a more epic game anyway and at least I'd actually get to play something.

Hey, I've been trying to download the update since yesterday... and so far I got 3 different error codes : 80710723 ; 800233E8 ; 800233EC.... I've searched them up I've tried all the solutions I've seen but nothing changed...I still cannot download the update. I have free space on my ps3 and my internet connection is alright....

Mine was having an error as well, but now I downloaded the update. All I did was leave it on all night without touching it and it worked. I'm pretty sure this won't fix it but it helped me after many attempts after getting that error code everyone's been getting. I'm 100% this was just luck but it's worth a try.

32gb free space avail on ps3, download/install completed, but stops at 30% on "installing Destinty/ verifying content" screen, so I cannot get back into game at all- there is no error code. uninstalled /reinstalled entire game+patch= still screwed. (120 g hard drive- this is not a 'free space' issue) HELP?!

Started at 2pm edt yesterday and kept getting 80710723 even after I switched to ethernet connection.. stopped counting attempts after 10. I started the last attempt at around 11:30 and woke up this morning at 8 at 89% with 59 mins left. It's now 9:10am and i'm at 91% with 49 mins left. fingers crossed.

Yes. Multiple updates 2-3 GB with added servers and strategic release. 1 pm in Central America? No. 1-2 am to allow overseas first and late nighters. Then when the other 60-70% of us wake up, a heavy chunk of people will have been completed. And with the added servers I am certain this would take a fraction of the time for the bulk of us. Could be thought out better to accommodate the public. Just sayin'.

platform ps3 available space 85 gb received error code "80710723" twice last night informing of network error. followed instruction both times in powering off/resetting router, started download again upon system restart only to get to around 20% download before receiving same error code message a third time. at time of writing this message I"m making one final attempt to download. I left system on last night undisturbed, searched for update, began install, currently at 15% 66minutes remaining. if this attempt does not work, will contact bungie to see if there is a different solution to downloading via playstation network btw, I did attempt to research the error code on the playstation support page prior to contacting this forum. my error code "80710723" search through playstation support yielded zero results and zero help.

I personally think the update I to big it should be in three parts of about 3000 mb. I have good internet and I have 100gb I now can't play destiny and that sucks.

NOT IMPRESSED!! This situation is beyond unacceptable. Congratulations on pissing off half your community. Unfortunately I have pre-ordered TTK so I will play through that. But you lost me after year 2 unless you SERIOUSLY step it up...........consider some better employees that know computer software. WOW.
