Do you have more than 1 character? Why?
With the release of some information coming from the Taken King, it has been suggested that Bungie are now going to make certain activities to be account based instead of character based. Legendary marks, Heroic weekly strike playlist rewards, possibly even Nightfall rewards. To those who have more than 1 character, why did you make the other characters you play with? Do you welcome this change?
I first only played on one character, my hunter, then as the weeks went by I noticed I needed more strange coins to get items from xur. I also wanted to get more rewards from the nightfall, so I created the other two classes and races of characters that were not my main character. Partly for the grim score, but also for variety. If the account based rewards was introduced at the start of the games life, I may have never created other characters.

I have 1 of each class. I like playing them all. Warlock of course is my favorite. But i did it out of wanting to get the most outta the game.

As many as u need. More characters means u can keep more empty Vault space. If u have Exotics or Legendarys u don't want to lose; an option

I wanted variety of play & experience the game in its entirety, now with the new subclasses I am even happier with this decision! I also had roommates play on my profile so they made their own characters

1 ReplyIf they truly make everything account based it would make more sense to have 3 of the same class. I started with 3 hunters but decided to make one of each just for the different play styles.

I have one character of each class, all human. I knew that I wanted to get one character for each class as soon as I got the game but I didn't start my second character for quite some time (end of December, I think) and I don't really know why I waited so long. I sometimes get bored of playing with one class so I like having the option of being able to switch at any time. As for activities becoming account based, I think that's stupid. If it's true it's probably just another way to increase the almighty grind but even so, I don't like it.

I have a human Titan, exo Warlock, and Awoken Hunter. All level 34. I have 3 because I want to experience everything Destiny has to offer. Plus exotic drops can be for any class. I would hate getting something I can't use because I only have one character. With 3, I get three times the rewards and can level up my weapons faster. I have extra storage space for weapons. Also, if I'm in a fireteam that needs a certain class for something, I can fill that void no matter what class is needed.

Because I wanted to understand the other classes better so I could know how to beat them in crucible, and how to work with them in PVE. Kept them because I needed weapon storage.

I want to play with all the characters. Mostly Titan, then some hunter, dabble with warlock.

If you only play solo, it really doesn't matter....but, you will miss out on the variation in game play. If you play with a fireteam, you want to have different characters so that you can play off each others abilities and maximize your collective, destructive potential.

Them making everything account based is just a way to increase play time, the grind. Everyone on these forums bitching about having to many coins, xurning, and so forth has caused this to happen. It's looking like they only want us to run one toon instead of 3. But time will tell. I will keep using all 3 and just use one a week. Then switch up and run one a different week.

Mostly for strange coins. Other than that, I only had a warlock.

I would've eventually created one of each class regardless. The extra rewards (coins, nightfalls, raids) were just bonuses anyway. Honestly this change will make the weekly reset much less of a chore.

I enjoy playing the different characters and using the different abilities. I created them out of enjoyment, not necessity.
