Well any good game has risk and reward. Take away one of the two you dont have much of a game. Your argument is just silly. A game should be just fun for fun sake. Glad you don't develope games for a living that for sure. Tell one person who has gone into VOG or Crota and never once thought boy I wish this weapon or armor would drop for me thus time. WHEN it does not drop you might be disapointed but you try again next week for the reward you are after. Or when you finally get what you have been after that feeling of accomplishment that you earned your digital reward. If you can't grasp the whole psychological formula these games are founded on then maybe it is YOU that is playing the wrong game. We do keep score here, just as in life there are winners and there are loosers. Just take your welfare Gallys and realize you were robbed of the satisfaction of "earning it" on your own.
I never said to take them away, i just stated a fact that onve they start doing what they have done... soon the game wont be worth a damn.. look at everquest World of Warcraft. Star Wars galaxies, everytime they make crap easier to get they chase iff the great players that make the games worth while, then they are left with people who bitch and moan about every little thing... "I dont like to wipe on boss fights so call me when you have it figured out and then I will help myself to loot I didn't earn.
Hell i just said chances are I wont buy the expantion. If i don't buy it others in my group of friends wont get it either, we will find another game to play together. While we wait for Battlefront to come out in November.

LMFAO, oh I understand the "digital formula," RNG loot drops make this game just like gambling, and any game which depends on making people addicted to gambling to make people keep playing is a shitty game. I enjoy this game because it's fun to play, and as long as the loot isn't too hard to get the gambling factor doesn't matter to me, I just enjoy playing it. If you don't then I pity you amd question why you bothered playing it in the first place. I've had every exotic and every Raid weapon (and every other weapon I want) for months and months, and I still enjoy running Raids and playing Crucible, no need to have some loot drop at the end to make me enjoy it. Sure I'd probably play more if I wanted something badly enough, but I sure as hell won't stop playing a fun game just because I have all the loot, now that would be profoundly stupid. Seriously if you need a digital carrot dangled in front of you to make you play a game, that's just sad. Games are fun because they're fun (when they're designed well), the loot is just an added bonus, nice to be sure but ultimately not that important. Any activity that isn't fun on its own regardless of loot isn't worth playing, period.

Oh, I understand you are a causal noob. I don't guess we will ever see eye to eye on matters of proper loot systems and welfare loot in general. You keep playing for what ever reason you are trying to claim motivates you. I just think you are not being honest. These types of games are all about the loot and the grind or challenges to get it. If it wasn't then they would just sell everthing all the time. They don't because it wouldn't keep players interested it would be only populated with liars who claim they only play for the honor of endless senseless killing. Good day to you Sir

Seriously, ever played Halo? No loot in those games but that didn't stop them from being fun to play. I think you're confusing cash-grabbing tactics with actual fun game design, some of us just enjoy playing fun games, imagine that. Not that all loot games are just cash grabbing, but some games really aren't that fun and only exist/are successful because of such game design, which makes it at least somewhat of a cash grab and not a proper game. Loot is nice to have and fun to use, but if you think it's the in all and end all of playing the game then you're pathetic.

Lol, apparently you can't read, I never said loot isn't nice, it just isn't the main reason to play any game, not if the game is any good. Apparently you need to re-educate yourself about the meaning of fun. Grinding endlessly for loot isn't fun, no matter how good the loot is. Playing a fun game and getting loot at the end, now that's fun.
