I didn't earn mine. I got mine through a random drop. I would have earned it if I used the coins I was guaranteed from the weekly heroic strike to buy it from xur.

The only weapons people can say that they earned are the exotic bounty ones in all honesty. It will be nerfed soon anyway... Edit 1: haha! I just read the tags! :)

3 RepliesIf you think about it. The Gjallarhorn will be nerfed here shortly anyways to make room for the new and upcoming weapons. Plus even Deej said in his interview with IGN that most of the weapons from year one are going to become outdated when the "Taken King" comes out. So I can see why Bungie decided to sell it through Xur.

Don't act all high and mighty because you had the means to do all those raids and get the best stuff. Not everyone can get a Gally, I for one have never been able to beat the Templar, so Xur's helping us out by giving us an awesome gun.
